For walkers there are numerous walks from the front door including the hikes up Great Whernside and Buckden Pike or the more leisurely strolls along the Dalesway south to Grassington or north through Buckden and Hubberholme. Littondale to the west provides the walker or cyclist with access to Malhamdale, Malham tarn and Ribblesdale and Penygent.
For road cyclist, mountain bike riders and leisure cyclists we are able to provide bike storage in the outhouse. There are many rides from the door for example the leisure road cyclist could head north over Bishopdale to Asgarth Falls before heading West to take in the teashops of Hawes before returning over Fleet Moss and pretty Langstrothdale alongside the river Wharfe.
Of course for those who prefer a more leisurely way to travel such a tour can be done by car.
Our private off the road parking space is opposite the cottage and next to the our outhouse alongside Cam Beck. For those guests who wish to leave the car at home we can offer suggestions for using public transport or a combination of trains and cycle routes.
We are not able to accommodate dogs or smokers.
